Family vacations are a big deal in my book. To me…they are a privilege and I appreciate taking them with my kids and especially my grandchildren. This picture is one of my favorites. Bobbi took it for me as we were sitting on the back porch chatting after coming home from the beach while on vacation. Ahnalaya Ann crawled up into my lap while I was sitting in the rocking chair. She was super tired and fell right to sleep as I rocked and chatted with Bobbi. ❤️
One of my love languages is physical touch. I always rocked my babies to sleep…I loved that part of parenting. Turns out I love that part of grandparenting too. I get to snuggle with them…sweet, sweet, sweet. Is there anything sweeter to look at than a small child sleeping? I love seeing their muscles relaxed and the smoothness of their skin. It is the best! Especially when you have a child who is constantly full of energy like this one. When she wakes up, she is at the speed of 60 instantaneously. I don’t know how kids have the energy to go as they do. Would be nice to have a bit of that at my age now. 🤨
A Diamond in My Sky
This little girl has my heart…she is like a little diamond in my sky. I love the bond Father has given the two of us. I am excited to see the woman she grows up to become and I plan on being a light to assist her mom and dad in guiding her toward truth. It adds a new level to parenting when you get to instill Father’s values and principles into your children’s children. Investing in a new generation…wonderful idea, don’t ya think? 🤩
Unfortunately, many have failed to do that which is why our society has become what it has. I want to be part of the solution…not add to the problem.
