Bamboo Shoot

macro bamboo shoot on green background

I think this is a bamboo shoot…not 100 on that. BUT…what I am sure on…I like this picture. I love the spiderweb attached to it…and the close-up view of it. My style is keeping the main thing…the main thing. I often set my aperture to get the background blurred out. My preference is to have the subject obvious. Less confusing to me so I try to make it happen in shots…except for the lifestyle photos…those are free to be as they are.

Something I do when on a nature hike is to look at not just the landscape in general, but I look at the individual plants. I am looking for something that interests me. When a plant catches my eye…I start shooting. The macros and close-up views tend to be my favorite shots. I am into the details I guess. For me…close-ups remind me of intimacy…close-up connections. My intimacy with Father over the years has deepened as I have endured the fire of purification. The purification fire develops maturity in me which is why the intimate connection with Him has deepened. I am able to talk to Him as if I am an adult at times. 😂 Somedays I still struggle with wanting my way…when my flesh leads me to act like an immature child. You know…temper tantrums? Yep…I have them at times.

Growth

Growth and maturity are like this bamboo shoot. It shoots up out of the ground…immature…but over time with the right nutrients, air, sun, and water…it matures as a plant. Spiritually speaking, we start out as infants…a new birth…coming up and out, then growing and developing into mature adults. Unfortunately for some, they shoot up and then choose NOT to grow. It is the parable of the seeds…right? Some grow but later choose death instead. A sad reality in the spirit realm. 😞
