Paint By Numbers

While hanging with the kids and grandkids, Vanessa got the art bug. 🤣 She was itching to do something artsy…so on her errands run…she found the fam some art projects. She and Bobbi came home with some paint-by-numbers kits. SO MUCH FUN!!!!!! I think I could do this daily. I find it very relaxing. Kind of like coloring with my Prismacolor pencils but WAY better.

The paint just glides on. I love the feel of the thickness of the paint. The colors are vibrant and spectacular. I just LOVE color. Color…and the ability to see it…such a wonderful gift. One I don’t take for granted.

Ahnalaya Ann gets her own painting supplies so she can be included in the family painting time.😍

Magnifying Glass

I have had to utilize my magnifying glass to paint these babies. MAN…the numbers are SMALL. I have old eyes! 😂 At first, I was using my phone to zoom in on the numbers but then I realized…I actually carry a magnifying glass around in my computer bag. Dang…brilliance! I felt so smart. I have smarticles!!! Made the painting thing so much more fun. 😜

Painting number two. Love the contrast between the warm and the cool colors. Love yellow and blue together. The greens just make it all better. Such happy little trees.🤣 Watched a TON of Bob Ross growing up. My dad LOVED him. 😍

Mitchell

Mitchell decided he wanted in on the family fun. He bought himself a paint-by-numbers kit too. 😍 He didn’t want to be left out.

He was saying to me…it is like doing puzzles Mom. I agreed. Feels very similar to us both. Very relaxing hobby. AND…it is a quiet hobby. We can listen to an audiobook or have a program going on beside us. Mitchell and I have spent many many hours doing puzzles together while listening to audiobooks.

We were SUPER excited…about a month ago…I woke up to a notification from Audible. Flint…a Louis L’Amour book was available for presale.

OH, MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As my dad always used to say….the good Lord is smiling down on me. I felt that! 😍 😂 🔥 ❤️

Years ago, I asked Beau L’Amour if they were going to do Flint as an audiobook anytime soon. I was lobbying for Flint. It is my FAVORITE of Louis’ books. Hands down…love that book.

Imagine my DELIGHT when Audible had it up for presale. INSTANEOUSLY…I hit purchase. I had the credit available. Waiting for my beloved book to hit my library. 😍

Excited…doesn’t describe how I feel about that. Mitchell is counting down the days with me. We are STOKED!!!! He has already checked the narrator out. I was hoping for David Strathairn. He has been my favorite narrator. Hoping we like the narrator on Flint. Fingers crossed.

Bobbi’s painting. I think this is of the red rocks in the West. I told her it looks like Utah, Arizona, and parts of Colorado. The West.

Ahnalaya Ann

Aunt Bobbi or Tia as she is called…pre-purchased art supplies for Ahnalaya Ann. Tia spoils the children. 😜 Actually…the whole fam…but ESPECIALLY the children. It worked out for all of us because it allowed Ahnalaya Ann to do her art stuff while the rest of us did ours. Fun activities together. All about togetherness. Family bonding.

We want a commune in Tennessee. We want a community garden, a community pool, and a community grilling area for us all to hang out at in the evenings. Family cookouts, fires, and dinners together. We want one of those large outdoor stone fire grills with a nice kitchen area around it. Sounds like Heaven to me. 😎 Dreams do come true…

Ahnalaya Ann took this picture of me. Goodness, she was a cutie pie standing there taking my picture. I think part of it is a bit blurry…but I love her little fingers on the left-hand side of the photo. One of my favorite photos. 💙😂

Love Van Gogh’s paintings. This was my third painting and was super easy compared to the first two.

Growth

I am still growing!!! So cool. Loving the painting scene even though it is paint-by-numbers. I am super happy to be painting. I will take it; however, I have to do it. Super grateful for the abilities and the creative people who make these kits possible.

Vanessa was saying the other day…I should send in some of my photos and make them paint-by-numbers so I can paint them. Then hang up my photo on the wall beside the painting. Brilliant idea. I am thinking of doing it. Just think that is a super cool idea. Crazy good!!!

Life is GOOD!!!! Everyday…I get the opportunity to learn new things and build new skills. Loving my life!

Have a marvy day!!!

Life and blessings to you.
