When I was a young married woman, I grilled ALL the time. I love grilling. So much fun. I like fire. 😜 Cooking food over a fire on a grill…sounds like a great plan to me.
After we built a home, my ex somehow took over all the grilling. It became his grill.
My solution…build a fire pit and cook over it. 🤣 Donovan and I set about digging out a fire pit. It was a beaut. We put landscape stones around it. I had a friend make me a large picnic table and there ya go…we had a camping spot in our side yard inside of the edge of our woods. Heaven on Earth. 😍
I loved cooking our meals over the fire and eating them on the picnic table. For me…I love being outside. Cooking and eating outside is even better.
For several years now, I have wanted my own grill. A small one. Portable. This week, I had to go to Champaign, IL for an appointment. While there, I saw this CUTE little portable grill and I had to get it.
Isn’t it adorable???? I think so. 😍
My table is an old tree stump. 😜

I sent a Snap to the kids. The girls agreed with me about the cuteness of the grill. Donovan said…looks like you figured it out.
It has been years since I have grilled. I was wondering if I would remember how to do it. Donovan was my grilling partner years ago. I think he was proud.
Bragging
I always said to my children…if someone is going to brag about you…don’t let it be you. Others can boast about you…but don’t boast about yourself.
So annoying to listen to people brag about themselves. Screams arrogance.
It goes along with those people who boast passively. They have to tell you all they know. They aren’t coming right out and actively saying how smart they are, but they want you to KNOW how smart they are. 😳 Honestly, I tune them out. Can’t take it. My mind goes somewhere else.
My dad always said…when I do something good…you gotta brag on me. 😂 He was not a braggart. He wanted encouragement…the words of affirmation. It always made me smile.
I am enjoying my new little grill. Going to cook some chicken on it tomorrow. Super excited about that.
The reason I bought such a small grill was to include it in my travels. Look at me GO!!! I am thinking ahead. I have smarticles! 😉
(That is not bragging…that is an aspect of my sense of humor if you haven’t figured that out yet. 😆)
