selfie with two women

Hannah and I recently attended an Air Supply concert. It was fun! Brought back so many memories. I have been walking down memory lane lately.

A while back, Hannah and I were driving down the road when I saw an advertisement for Air Supply. I started talking about their music. Actually played a few songs for Hannah while were heading back to her house.

Fast forward a bit, Hannah said she was trying to score us a pair of tickets to the concert. I asked her why she was doing that. She said…I am always dragging you to things with people my age, so I thought I would try something you would like. I was a bit surprised…but I was game.

Loved the lighting. Super cool.

Dad

When I got to the concert, it made me think of Dad. Dad amused me…greatly.

He had this thing he would do when we would attend something with older people. He would say…well…everybody here is old…with a look of shock.

Tammy would always respond…they are your age, Bob. It would always lead to a funny discussion.

I FELT THAT at the Air Supply concert. 😂😂 Lots of gray hair. I told Hannah…there is a lot of old people here.

Then I shared Dad’s little thing he always did. 😍 I guess it is my turn now. 😜

Memory Lane

When we got back from the concert…I couldn’t sleep. My mind computer has many tabs open at all times it seems. Memory Lane was wide open, and the software was demanding my full attention. Finally, at about 4 in the morning, I got out of bed and drove to the storage unit. Pulled a couple of boxes out of old photos and came back to Hannah’s house.

Not sure what Father is doing with the old stuff…but it means something, I am sure. So far, I am uninformed. 🤷‍♀️

However, I pulled some photos out to scan. Felt like I might use them on the site. Today, I got them scanned. It was quite a story. A saga. An ordeal. 🤨 I can tell I am getting old. I don’t understand the modern way of doing things. The old days were so much easier with certain things. 🤦‍♀️

Donovan

If it weren’t for Donovan, I would NOT have gotten those photos scanned. I feel the need to say a few words about my son. My heart is full right now with love for that man.

I called him this afternoon. The phone went straight to voicemail. Donovan sent me a text back immediately. He was clearing a trail out in the boonies somewhere with very little reception. He is preparing for deer hunting. His text simply said…give me a few minutes.

He called me back within his few minutes. After our phone discussion and a couple of text discussions, I was doing business like a boss.

I sent Donovan an audio message telling him…I am in love with you…seriously. Grateful for your help.

Years ago, Father told me…you will rely heavily on Donovan.

That was no joke. A true statement. That man is a pillar for me to lean on. A rock. I do not know what I would do without him. I had no idea that cute little face would capture my heart in a whole new way in his manhood.

Wow…I have no words to describe the love I have for that man in my heart. 💜

Father knew what He was doing to send him to me. 🥰

Old Friends

Thought I would share some photos from the 80’s. The photos are poor quality scans…but they are photos. I believe this is the first of several posts with old photos. 🤷‍♀️

Remember here…the 80’s was about big hair. Just keep that in mind as you peruse the photos. 😜

I am not one to sit and look at old photos…like older than ten years. I don’t usually sit and think about the past. My preference is to live in the present and/or think about the future. The past is over…and I have moved on…so reminiscing about the former days of my life is not in my nature.

With that being said…sharing them publicly…not my idea. Just saying. 🤷‍♀️

I am sharing out of obedience. 😂

I LOVED that dress. Regina did a great job sewing it for me. The quilting portion was my favorite.
wedding party

A friend of mine made my wedding dress for me. I bought her the fabric and told her since I was into quilting…I wanted some kind of quilting theme on it.

She out did herself on that quilting look. I am quite sure she didn’t charge me near enough for the time she put into this dress.

My co-worker and I took the lace I purchased and sewed sequins and beads on each flower petal. Then Regina added the sequined lace on the dress. It was time consuming and tedious work for the three of us.

I love supporting small businesses and people I love. 💖🥰

Dad took this photo of us when we were all young mothers. We met at Dad and Tammy’s with all the children. 😍

All Clean

Father said something to me today that was quite thrilling to me. Not sure what it means exactly yet…but I will at some point in time.

He said…all clean. You are good to go.

I am 100% convinced I have reached the finish line. Been marking the days off my calendar each day. I have ten days left and my seven-year prison sentence is forever done.

The door will be opened, and I will be released from my prison cell.

An old class reunion with the four of us sitting together to catch up. 😆

Excited

I am super excited. Relieved in every possible way. I believe I am getting ready to start a completely different way of life. Haven’t a clue what it looks like as of yet. However, I believe I will love it in every way.

I have been thinking about writing curriculum the last few days. This thought…feels my heart with joy. NOW…knowing I am good to go, and everything is now clean…wow! I am clean. The past seven years are clean. I am unhooked from the world.

It reminds me of a vision I once had years ago. It was of a couple who were at the doctor’s office. They had been tested for STD’s. I knew the woman was the harlot of this world. The doctor said…no STD’s.

I FEEL that. After studying the ways of the world and the harlot of this world for the last seven years so intently…I am done. In addition to my studies being done…I am clean. Free of any STD’s associated with the harlot of this world.

It is time for my freedom. 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

No words to describe the gratitude this is finally over.
