macro prismacolor pencils

I enjoy art…I am not good at it…but I love to delight in artists’ work. All genres in the art world: drawings, paintings, metalwork, woodwork, jewelry making, pottery, etc. I LOVE artisan fairs!!! They always give me the wantsies…I want to buy LOTS of pieces when I attend artisan fairs. When my children were younger, every time we traveled, I would make sure to take them to art museums and galleries. Donovan was always funny when we saw the more modern art, he always had comical comments on the art. My daughter Mara appreciated the artwork a bit more than Donovan did.

I am a huge fan of colored pencil artwork. When I want to relax and watch TV, I pull out my adult coloring books and my Prismacolor pencils to color. I am not someone who can sit very well unless I have something to do with my hands so coloring works well for me. It works to help slow me down. I need that at times. 😳

Quilting

For years, I quilted. Sewing blocks together by hand while I would sit visiting with someone or just to relax. Unfortunately, my eyes got older, and threading the needle became more difficult. Sucked the fun right out of that hobby. 😂 One of the best parts of quilting was picking out the material. All the colors and patterns. Combining colors and textures together to cut them all up and build something beautiful out of it. Fabulous! My oldest daughter and I made many quilts over the years.

I love everything about colors…saturation, shading, contrasting colors, complementary colors, etc. My personal preference is the higher saturated colors over the lower saturation. It reminds me of depth, and I am all about depth.

I took this picture one day after coloring. I love my pencils. 😍😂
