I have had some major changes take place in the last week.
On Sunday, I put my dog down.
Long story.
It was a hard thing to do…but it was the right thing to do.
I am still debating whether that story is appropriate to share on the blog. At this time, I am going to refrain. 🤷♀️
Freedom
After processing through the loss, I realized I was free. Crystal wasn’t responsible for anyone but herself again.
I can’t tell you how wonderful that felt to me.
What did I do with my newfound freedom?
I loaded my truck up and headed to Michigan. 😂
Grandkids
I couldn’t get to Michigan fast enough.
As always, my grandkids were glad to see me. I have to be honest; I couldn’t wait to see Ahnalaya and Archer. I have spent most of their little lives living with them. As a result, I am pretty attached to them both.
I have decided that Ahnalaya Ann talks almost non-stop. She is growing up and we are having fascinating conversations now. She has lots of plans for us since I am back. 😜
In the featured image, she is swinging in the hammock. The last time we were together, Donovan and I spent time trying to teach her to swing herself. She was thrilled to show me her skills.
Fall Season
Super excited to enjoy the fall colors again this year. The trees here are a spectacular show color-wise.
I was telling Donovan last night…I want to get to the UP this month. Hoping I can make it farther north before it gets too cold…especially while the trees are so beautiful. He was sharing with me that the temps are supposed to drop soon.

I dread it…but I have my winter gear, so I am prepared. 😆
